Tequila inspires oh so many goodies. I just couldn’t go another season without doing a blushing cupid-inspired cocktail laced with splashes of good tequila and fruity flavors.

If you love a pink cocktail or even strawberry lime margaritas, this fabulous Valentine’s Day margarita is gonna be right up your alley!
The addition of freshly crushed strawberries and cranberry juice add a fruity layer of flavor and a lovely blushing pink hue. Sweetness from agave nectar is balanced out by fresh lime and pairs perfectly with silver tequila.

Ingredients to Make an Easy Tequila Valentine’s Day Drink

- Tequila – blanco tequila, your favorite good quality brand
- Fresh strawberries
- Fresh lime juice
- Agave nectar – if agave isn’t available, simple syrup may be used in place
- Cranberry juice
- Pink Champagne or pink prosecco – rosé pink champagne or pink prosecco for topping off
- Sliced lime wheels – for garnish
- Fresh Rose petals – for garnish
- Pink sanding sugars – for decoration on cocktail rim / or sea salt for a salt rim
How To Make A Festive Valentine’s Day Margarita

- Swipe your rocks glass with a wedge of lime and dip into pink sanding sugars (or coarse sea salt if desired). Set prepared glass aside.
- Quarter the 2 strawberries and drop them into the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Muddle the strawberries until completely crushed and juices are released.
- Splash in the tequila, agave nectar, fresh lime juice, and cranberry juice.
- Fill the cocktail shaker about half way with fresh ice cubes and shake well. Shake vigorously until all contents are completely cold and combined.
- Remove cover from cocktail shaker and use a drink strainer to strain the drink into a rocks glass over new fresh ice.
- Be sure to strain the cocktail to leave the chunks from the strawberry pulp behind in the shaker.
- Top this delicious drink with a little splash of pink champagne and garnish with rose petals, sliced strawberries, or a lime wedge. Serve ice cold.
