Cozy spices of cinnamon, ginger, clove, and orange peel deepen the flavors, creating a luscious mix of autumnal tastes. The spices pair really well with fruity splashes of cranberry juice, honeycrisp apple juice, ginger ale, and fresh lime.
To give this Spooky Spider Brew punch that hint of cozy fall spice, we’ll add in a splash of homemade spiced syrup. Here’s what you’ll need to make a super easy spiced syrup in just a few minutes.
Make A Quick Syrup to Flavor The Halloween Punch with Fall Spice

- 1/3 cup Water
- 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 whole Cinnamon Sticks
- 3 pieces sliced ginger
- 5 cloves
- 3 slices Fresh Orange Peel
To make the spiced syrup, add the cinnamon sticks, orange peel, sliced ginger, and cloves to a small sauce pan and cover with the sugar and water.
Set the saucepan over a flame and stir the contents until the sugar is melted into the water.
Bring the mixture to a light simmer and cover. Continue to cook the spiced syrup (covered to prevent evaporation) on a light simmer for another 5 minutes.
When 5 minutes of simmer time is up, turn the heat off and let the syrup steep an additional 5 minutes covered.
When steep time is up, remove cover, strain into a jar with a screwtop lid, and let cool to use in the Spooky Spider Brew!

This spiced syrup can be made well in advance and refrigerated to be used within 2 weeks.
You can even use it in this festive spiced apple moscow mule fall cocktail! If you need extra, the recipe can be easily doubled to make more.
Once the spiced syrup is cooled, you can use it to make the fun Spider Brew Halloween Punch.
