This quick snack on a stick is probably one of my favorites due to its delectably crunchy simplicity… It’s a super basic make ahead toothpick appetizer you can make with 3 ingredients. It’s literally a skewered stack of delicious cubed parmesan cheese, crunchy Cheez-It crackers, and sliced dill pickle. I like to think of it as a dressed-up version of crackers and cheese that got seriously vertical… I always use an aged balsamic parmesan for quick appetizers like this because they add so much pop to the flavor. Sartori’s Balsamic BellaVitano parmesan is by far my favorite.

2. Quick Pepperoni Bowtie Pasta Bite Skewer

These are literally the easiest thing to make! Small farfalle or bowtie pasta is nestled on a skewer between rolled up mini pepperoni slices! Pinches of fresh oregano herbs give it a little color. The great thing about cold pasta is you can drizzle it with your favorite dressing after assembling to add a little more pop of flavor. I used Hormel’s little mini pepperoni slices for this appetizer but you might choose to use a salami slices or even prosciutto! The pasta skewers always remind me of the more Italian-inspired antipasto skewers with mozzarella balls, pasta, meat, and olives.

It’s Boar’s Head chipotle gouda cheese. If you can find it, it really does pair quite well with a number of ingredients and would even make a great addition to any simple charcuterie board.
