Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
  • 1/2 oz Sherry
  • 1 wheel Orange - cut into quarters
  • 6 dashes Angostura Bitters

Instructions
 

  • In a rocks glass add sherry, orange and bitters.
  • Muddle to bruise orange and release its oils.
  • Fill glass with ice and pour in whiskey.
  • Stir with a bar spoon until ice melts in a bit and ingredients combine.
  • Top with a very light splash of soda water.
  • Gently give it a finishing stir.
  • Garnish with orange peel and a cherry.
