Tricky Fox Old Fashioned
A fun twist on the classic old fashioned, the Tricky Fox uses sherry instead of bitters to make things interesting...
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
- 1/2 oz Sherry
- 1 wheel Orange - cut into quarters
- 6 dashes Angostura Bitters
Instructions
- In a rocks glass add sherry, orange and bitters.
- Muddle to bruise orange and release its oils.
- Fill glass with ice and pour in whiskey.
- Stir with a bar spoon until ice melts in a bit and ingredients combine.
- Top with a very light splash of soda water.
- Gently give it a finishing stir.
- Garnish with orange peel and a cherry.
