Instructions

  • MAKE THE ICE CUBES:
    - Fill the first row of your ice tray with diced strawberry pieces and top with cranberry juice for a deep garnet red color.
-Fill the second row of your ice tray with coconut water.
-Fill the third row of your ice tray with blackberries and blueberries. Top the fruit with more of the same cranberry juice plus 1 drop of all natural blue food coloring to die your dark berry row a true blue.
-Each blue cube gets 1 drop of blue.
-Set in the freezer to freeze the night before (or early in the morning that day) and let freeze until solid and set.
**If making multiple drinks, make a full tray of red cubes, a full tray of blue ice cubes, and a full tray of coconut water cubes.  Once frozen, unmold and set into 3 separate bowls or 3 separate freezer zip bags for easy handling/assembly.  Keep cold when not in use.**
  • MAKE THE DRINK:
-In the bottom of your rocks glass or stemless wine glass, splash in the vodka, simple syrup, and fresh lime juice.
-Stir these together with a bar spoon.
-Unmold the red white and blue cubes and place in your cocktail glass to create a red layer, a white layer, and a blue layer as you build your Fourth of July cocktail.
-Top the colorful cubes in this patriotic cocktail the rest of the way with the berry flavored sparkling water, such as Waterloo Summer Berry.
-To finish, dot this festive summer drink with thin sliced lime wheels, and more fresh berries like blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries as desired.
    -Serve cold.
