SERVINGS 8 8 to 10 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gin - good quality - I used Hendrick's Gin, Empress 1908 Gin is also an excellent choice
  • ½ cup Blue curaçao
  • 6 cups Strawberry Lemonade - highly recommend Simple Truth Organic strawberry lemonade
  • ½ cup Simple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice - or more as desired to balance sweetness
  • 2 to 4 drops Red Food Coloring - as needed
  • 1 bottle Prosecco or Champagne - for added fizz
  • Fresh Lemons - for juicing another for slicing as garnish or sliced strawberries or both!

Instructions

  • Grab a punch bowl and splash in the gin and blue curaçao liqueur.
  • Next, splash in the strawberry lemonade and simple syrup. Add in the fresh squeezed lemon juice to balance out the sweetness of the simple syrup. Stir together with your ladle to combine.
  • Top off with about half a bottle of prosecco sparkling wine or champagne to brighten and add fizz.  Give the bubbly champagne punch one more gentle stir.
  • Garnish with edible flowers, or slices of fresh fruit like fresh strawberries, or simply float sliced lemon wheels on top.
  • Serve by ladling over individual cups filled with fresh ice.  Tuck in a lemon slice and top off this festive and fantastic drink with another light splash of sparkling wine as desired.  Always serve ice cold over fresh ice.
